The Alaska Chapter of the American Fisheries Society is pleased to announce the 2014 Molly Ahlgren Scholarship consisting of two $6,000 awards to qualifying undergraduate students pursuing a baccalaureate degree in fisheries or aquatic science at the University of Alaska or Alaska Pacific University. Applicants must be an undergraduate student considered to be a junior by accumulation of credits as determined by UA or APU academic criteria and in good standing with UA or APU. All travel and meeting registration expenses will be paid for by the Alaska Chapter to attend the 2014 Annual Alaska Chapter Conference during 20–24 October 2014 in Juneau, Alaska. The firm deadline (receive by date) for application is 5:00 p.m. Alaska Time, 24 September 2014.
Applicants need to complete and submit an application and will be evaluated on their work and/or educational experiences and interest in the fields of fisheries and aquatic science, interest in professional advancement, and reason(s) for financial need.
