The Alaska Chapter of the American Fisheries Society is pleased to announce the 2015 Molly Ahlgren Scholarship consisting of a $2,000 award to a qualifying undergraduate student pursuing a baccalaureate degree in fisheries or aquatic and biological science at the University of Alaska or Alaska Pacific University. Applicants must be an undergraduate student considered to be a junior by accumulation of credits as determined by UA or APU academic criteria and in good standing with UA or APU. All travel and meeting registration expenses will be paid for by the Alaska Chapter to attend the 2015 Annual Alaska Chapter Conference during 2–6 November in Homer, Alaska. The firm deadline (receive by date) for application is 5:00 p.m. Alaska Time, 9 October 2015
Applicants need to complete and submit an application and will be evaluated on their work and/or educational experiences and interest in the fields of fisheries and aquatic science, interest in professional advancement, and reason(s) for financial need.
