Annual Meetings

© ADF&G - photo credit Audra BraseIn the spring the Alaska Chapter holds its Annual Meeting. This gathering rotates regionally throughout our large state to encourage participation by fisheries managers, scientists and students. In years when the conferences are held in the Interior the focus tends to be in freshwater research, conversely marine fisheries tend to be highlighted when we meet in Southeast.

This meeting continues to be the cornerstone of the Alaska Chapter and provides an opportunity for our membership to share information and learn about the spectrum of management and research for the conservation and utilization of aquatic resources in Alaska. Providing this forum as an opportunity to develop and enrich our profession remains a vital role of the Chapter.
